The Sunshine Coast Koala Wildlife Rescue (SCKWR) is a non-profit rescue service for Koala’s who need help to survive, these koalas are orphaned, sick injured etc. The organization relies solely on public donations and don’t get funding from the government or council even though they work with the government and council in order to create new strategies and laws that help save the Sunshine Coasts Koala population. Their efforts are spent solely on helping Koalas in need and try heal, help and save Koalas who are effected with Conjunctivitis, Cystitis, Dog attacks, Relocation and Car Accidents.
A Way to help the Koala Population
Since a big reason that the population of Koala is declining is due to the destruction of habitat and the building of roads and houses without regard to the koala population, I believe a good way of trying to help the remaining Koala left in the wild could be to stop or think more about the placing of roadways and housing areas. Koala have their own kind of society that involves several Koala all living in different sections of one area, if this is destroyed then the Koala have a very large problem and are forced to move. Since the Koala move on the ground, they can easily get hit by passing cars and get injured majorly.
